– Preparation Guide

Hey there!

This space is for business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals who want to share their journeys. Our conversations will cover various topics, from real-world business experiences to the challenges of falling and getting back up, along with valuable coaching insights to help others on their path.

I record all episodes remotely using Riverside.fm, a professional podcasting platform that delivers top-notch audio and video quality. To make sure your experience (and recording!) is smooth, here’s everything you need to know.

Before the recording: Your checklist

1. Tech Setup

  • Use a laptop or desktop computer, not a phone or tablet.

  • Supported browsers: Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
⚠️ No Incognito or Private Mode, please!

2. Internet Connection

  • A stable connection is key.

  • If you’re on WiFi, make sure you’re close to the router.

  • Close all other apps and browser tabs to free up your internet (especially Zoom, Teams, and anything using your camera or mic).

3. Camera & Lighting

  • Use the best camera you’ve got (your laptop webcam works).

  • Sit facing a light source. Natural daylight or a lamp in front of you works wonders!

  • Avoid backlight (no windows or bright lights behind you). We want to see your smiling face clearly!

4. Microphone & Audio

  • Wear headphones (wired is best). This prevents any echo.

  • Use an external microphone, if you have one. Even the mic on your earbuds will work better than a laptop mic.

  • If you’re using a fancy mic, ensure it’s connected and selected in your browser settings.

5. Quiet Space

  • Find a quiet space with minimal background noise.

  • Soft furnishings (carpets, curtains) help improve sound quality.

  • Let the people in your space know you’ll be recording (maybe bribe them with manakish if needed 😉).

Technical things
(Don’t worry, it’s easy!)

  • Check your mic and camera before we start.

  • Turn off VPNs or ad blockers—they can mess with Riverside.

  • Allow notifications from Riverside when prompted—this helps process your recording properly.

  • If you’re using a Mac, you can also download the Riverside MacOS app for the best experience.

After Recording

When we finish, don’t close your browser right away!

Wait until you see 100% Uploaded or Upload Complete on the screen.
This ensures we get your full recording in the highest quality. (It usually takes just a minute.)

What happens next?

  • After we wrap up, I’ll handle the editing magic.

  • I’ll let you know when your episode is going live!

  • You’ll get graphics and links to share it with your community—because people need your story!
