Let’s make sure you’re a good fit!

This retreat is for you if:

  • You're an adventurer: Ready to embrace the wild, challenge yourself, and discover new horizons.

  • You're seeking increased strength: Eager to build physical and mental resilience in a rugged environment.

  • You want to reconnect: Yearning to strip away the distractions and rediscover your core self in nature.

  • You need a reset: Craving a break from daily routines to gain fresh perspectives and inspiration.

  • You are ready for transformation: Open to new challenges and perspectives.

If you're nodding and saying, "Yes! That's me!" this retreat is definitely for you.

Why participate?

Two elderly men sitting on wooden chairs by a fire pit on a deck at night, with colorful flowers around them, roasting marshmallows and holding drinks.
  • Because you need a break to step away from the daily grind and immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature.

  • Because you want to grow, seek collective wisdom, learn practical skills, and join a community that supports your personal development.

  • Because you want mental clarity and focus by disconnecting from everyday distractions and gaining a clear perspective on your goals and aspirations.

  • Because you know that wives, kids, jobs, houses, and cars can survive without you for a weekend.

  • Because it is okay to consciously decide to spend time on yourself. And you know that you’ll return a better husband, father, brother, and friend.

  • Because “it is time” to take another step towards self-discovery and embrace the adventure awaiting you.

The Jurd of Laqlouq in October

A campfire on a grassy area with wooden Adirondack chairs, a small wooden table, and a red-roofed cabin, set against a rocky hillside.

Hosted at the #elsewhere retreat in the foothills of Laqlouq at around 2000 meters elevation.

We start on Oct 3, 2025, right before sunset, and we leave on Oct 5 after the campfire council.

We reclaim our stability and balance nestled amidst stunning natural landscapes with cabins, solo tents, and three-person tents as sleeping arrangements.

What to expect

A wooden table set for outdoor dining with fresh vegetables including tomatoes, cucumbers, green onions, and herbs, along with plates of food and a blue glass pitcher, with a scenic landscape of a hill and blue sky in the background.

Expect shelter, hearty from-the-farm meals, and hot showers. Expect long nature walks, challenging physical activity, ice plunges, and roaring fires.

Expect to be challenged and have fun doing it. Expect to make new friends and to dare yourself.

Everything else comes as a bonus.
